Role in the Tracking Network

Tracking and Control of Satellites

USC owns and operates two large antennas (20 meter and 34 meter dishes). These antennas, build on the highest hill in the USC site, track and control scientific satellites in earth orbit. The 34meter antenna can be used as the backup for the 64 meter deep space antenna of the Usuda Deep Space Center.
